Our parent company, The Manual Makers, first started The Proofing Point to offer specialized classes in proofreading. In our work with marketing agencies, we noticed that many proofreaders had very good spelling and grammar, but didn’t have the additional skills necessary to proofread marketing materials. In addition, graphic designers lacked an understanding of the proofreader’s role and how to work with them. Since then, we have conducted on-site classes for proofreaders and graphic designers in the Atlanta area, but wanted a way to reach a broader audience. We are excited to release our online classes!
